Previously I managed this problem using different binding files for every configuration, ie.: When the problem shows up, I have to re-bind just the analogue axis.ĭuring an RTV they told they are going to solve this bug. Using the TARGET software I’ve configured all the switches on the throttle so they simulate a keyboard key (or combinations). Sometimes Windows changes the peripherals order, so if you check the bindings, you’ll find that the Throttle is no more “number 4” and the MFG is no more “number 2”. If you are experiencing the same issue, that’s probably related to a known bug in SC detecting the peripherals number via Windows. Joystick buttons are read but analogue axis do not work as intended (I find strafe on the wrong axe, same for roll, thrusters etc.). I’ve your same configuration and sometimes I have problems with the analogue axis, ie.: Hidguardian will make sure it always sees the stick you want it to see.įor me, I have to mask my keyboard for EA games so it only sees it in digital mode, not analog mode (wooting one keys are analog inputs so they can read partial press). Without hidguardian, it is hit or miss if it will see a physical stick or the virtual stick. It’s not a big deal for SC, but a lot of EA games only recognize a single game pad. The end result is that Star Citizen will only see sticks you want it to see, in this case your virtual stick. Hidguardian just makes it so you can mask the physical sticks from games, but whitelist them for vjoy and joystick gremlin. Fudge with it enough and you can get the vjoy axis mapped. Without hidguardian, you may notice SC trying to map between two axis when you try to bind (it reads the physical and virtual stick at the same time). This is so SC doesn't pick up on the joysticks and only recognizes the one virtual vJoy controller which is manipulated externally via joystick gremlin.ĭidn’t watch the video, but one item to note beyond Joystick Gremlin and Vjoy (both fantastic) is an app called HIDguardian. (This will depend on your pedals, mine are just one axis - Crosswind MFG) Also, I wasn't able to get star citizen to map from the vjoy controller off of the bat, I needed to wait until after SC started before plugging in the jostick, throttle, pedals, and running the Joystick Gremlin script. There were a couple of double mappings when it came to the pedals but I was able to set the pedal axis to Z-Axis. I followed this guide even though it says 'obsolete': Joystick Gremlin works great for this in conjuction with vJoy 2.X. I'm not trying to do any advance macros or mapping, everything I need I can map in the game settings. My question is, is there software or something that we can use to combine all of our virtual controllers into one controller to make this hassle free? So that when I load up the game, it pulls up the virtual joystick and ensures the controllers don't get re-numbered? I started looking into joystick gremlin but I don't quite understand the interface and I'm not even sure if that's the best bet for what I need. I've rebooted and plugged them in the same order as I have been but either the joystick number or something else keeps interfering with it and I have to remap the entire stick again. I've spent hours going through and remapping everything to my liking and today when I fired up the game, my joystick no longer works. I currently use a Warthog HOTAS setup with MFG Crosswind pedals for flight and a steam controller for ground vehicles. I apologize if this has been answered previously but I've searched up and down and can't seem to find something solid for what I'm looking for.
